A Clinical Dietitian is being sought for a community hospital in Valdosta, GA. Responsibilities include providing medical nutrition therapy to patient populations, including nutrition assessment, modified diet formulation, self-management training and nutrition intervention to patients. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical skills in an acute care setting. Other duties include ensuring patient satisfaction, quality care, regulatory agency compliance, and good public relations through the safe and efficient use of resources, as well as effectively interacting with the hospital, medical, and administrative staff of the facility.

Requirements:  Credentialed as a Registered, or registry eligible, Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Licensed, or provisionally licensed, in the State of Georgia.  Must be able to pass criminal background check .

Diabetes Association of Atlanta.  A community based non-profit health services agency is now accepting resumes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CDE required
  • PA, RN or RD with current GA license/registration
  • Minimum BS degree, Masters preferred
  • Minimum 5 years background in diabetes education
  • Minimum one year program management experience
  • Strong skills in leadership, communication and education
  • Willing to travel within agency’s service area (Atlanta Metropolitan area)
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Candidate will be a professional with strong management experience. Candidate will possess the skills and expertise to manage agency education programs and services including an ADA Recognized Diabetes Self-Management Program, Community-Based Screening Program and Medical Assistance Program. Candidate will also provide and support direct patient education. Candidate must be self-motivated, capable of multi-tasking. Candidate will function independently as well as in as part of a team to provide agency services.
